Do NOT have anything to eat or drink after midnight the evening before your examination. If you need to take medication which cannot wait until after the examination is over (usually about mid-morning), take it with a tiny sip of water. If you are a diabetic and cannot fast, please let us know in advance of your examination.
Anal – Sphincter
Purchase a Fleet Enema from your local pharmacy. The enema must be completed 3 hours prior to your study.
Appendix

Bladder (Pre/Post Voiding)
1 ½ hours prior to the procedure you must empty your bladder. Over the next 30 minutes you must drink 32oz of water. We recommend you have something to eat. Maintain a full bladder
Breast
No prep
Celiac Artery
Do NOT have anything to eat or drink after midnight the evening before you examination. This test involves drinking a dairy product, if there is a history of dairy intolerance; please bring your own tolerable dairy product (6 ounces) to the appointment.

Extremity

Fetal (up to 35 weeks)

Fetal (36 weeks or more)

Hips(for Infant)
Please arrive ½ hour prior to procedure so baby can be fed. Please bring a bottle or mother may breast feed baby in a private dressing room.
Mesentary Artery

1 ½ hours prior to the procedure you must empty your bladder. Over the next 30 minutes you must drink 32oz of water. We recommend you have something to eat. Maintain a full bladder.
Pyloric Stenosis
Please skip baby’s last feeding. Bring a baby bottle of fluid, preferably water, although breast feeding mom’s may bring a bottle of breast milk.
Renal (Kidney)
No Prep
