What is it?
The MammoChecker is digital technology that assists our Radiologists in the evaluation of screening mammograms. It is a Computer Aided Detection System with image analysis identifying areas on a mammogram that may warrant further review by a Radiologist. The Radiologist then re-examines the original mammogram for final interpretation and report.

How does it work?
Screening mammogram films are processed through our computer, which identifies and marks regions with characteristics of cancer

What does it mean to me?
This new digital technology gives you the assurance of having your mammogram "double read" by the MamoChecker. This provides you with even greater peace of mind when having your screening mammogram

When will the results of my mammogram be available?
Your mammogram report will be sent to your referring physician after your screening mammogram is performed and a letter will be sent to you within the week.

SJRA is proud to be the first practice in the Delaware Valley to utilize this new digital technology to assist our radiologists in the evaluation and interpretation of mammograms.
