Job Title: Imaging Library Support Specialist                        

Location: Voorhees, NJ

Reports to: Imaging Library Supervisor    

Hours: Tuesday and Thursday  9:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.                  

Exemption Status: Non-Exempt          

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Answering all incoming phone calls from patients wanting to acquire cd’s
• Pushing cases to life image.
• Distribute all patient studies requested by the Referring Doctor’s offices.  Duties include burning CDs, , organizing paperwork, filing and mailing (including Fed Ex).
• Assisting the Referring Doctor’s offices with issues involving study acquisition.  This may include problems with image acquisition through the SJRA PACS system.
• Retrieve the cases for the offices for the following day.  This includes cases from Virtua system.  Duties including the changing of MRN numbers and the scanning of reports.
• Reformatting using the 3D station.
• Import outside CD’s for comparison purposes for upcoming studies.  The process includes the changing of MRN numbers and the scanning of reports.
• Purging and calling patients regarding CD pickup also updating task
• Handle special filming requests from the 3D Department and the Mammography Department.
• Process Stat requests in a timely manner.
• The scanning of patient release forms.
• Providing assistance with CD burner and copier issues.
• The monitoring of inventory levels and the purchasing of supplies.
• Coordinate activities with team members at the other locations.  Escalate issues, when needed, to the Imaging Library Supervisor.
• Provide support to other departments in the practice.  Manage calls and provide follow up in a timely manner.
• Provide coverage in the department, as needed, during staff absences.
• Process attorney cases within 24 hours of receipt of the request.\
• Manually push the Rothman cases on a daily basis.
• Provide assistance with the Referring doctor phone line inquiries.
• Distribute supplies to the other offices.
• Print and mail patient reports.
• Count and print for  legal
• All other duties as assigned.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES – This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

QUALIFICATIONS

Training and Experience

• A High School diploma or GED required.
• Prior healthcare experience preferred.
• Prior computer experience preferred.
• Prior RIS and PACS experience preferred.

 Physical Demands of the Position

• 50% sitting, 50% standing.
• Lifting up to 30 pounds.

Working Conditions

• Local travel is required.
