IT Systems Technician III

Job Title: IT Systems Technician III                                                                   

Location: Voorhees, NJ                                               

Reports to:  Help Desk Team Leader

Exemption Status: Hourly       

SUMMARY

The position is responsible for providing support to the end users with general IT questions.  The position also assists with server and network support.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Help Desk Duties

• • Answer inbound calls.  Assist end user inquiries about IT systems.
  • Provide support to both employees and physicians on all IT related issues.  Issues can range from clinical application questions to general IT inquiries concerning network logins, emails, printers, scanners, website access, etc.
  • Maintain record of transactions through the Track-It system for various problems and the actions taken.
  • Conduct computer diagnostics to investigate and resolve problems and to provide technical assistance and support.
  • Maintain the PC image for the desktops. Image PCs in inventory.  Ensure adequate PC inventory levels.

• Server Support
• • Monitor HL7, DICOM and network traffic between systems.
  • Help troubleshoot workflow issues related to the clinical systems and the flow of data between them.
  • Perform daily system checks on systems
  • Monitor, maintain and enhance the back-up process

• Vendor/Project Management
  • Coordinate proof of concept (POC), quality assurance and purchasing as directed by management.
  • Lead application testing and projects as needed.

• Configure McAfee and ManageEngine to ensure optimal performance and protection for the practice.
• Configure and manage Visual Click.  Provide training to the users of the software package.
• Perform changes to the network as directed.
• Correct duplicate accounts in Greenway Intergy.
• All other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

Training and Experience

• A good understanding of network concepts required.
• A good understanding of anti-virus and anti-malware software required.
• Experience with Active Directory/DNS/DHCP required.
• Experience with Microsoft Exchange/Outlook required.
• Experience with back-up software required.  Veeam experience preferred.
• Knowledge of PACS and RIS systems preferred.
• Experience in healthcare preferred.
• Microsoft certification preferred.
• A+ Certification preferred.
• Cisco certification preferred.
• Linux experience a preferred.

Knowledge, Skills and Competencies

• Willingness and proven ability to learn new applications.
• Good understanding of computer hardware.
• Good oral and written communication skills.
• Urgent deadlines and patient service requirements demand multi-tasking and focus on results.
• Attend conferences and seminars to maintain knowledge of hardware and software.

Physical Demands of the Position

• 50% sitting, 50% standing. At times requires lifting up to 100 pounds, with assistance.

 Working Conditions

• Local travel is required.
