Hours: Monday – Wednesday 4:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. & Saturday 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.

Reports to: Office Manager or Modality Manager

SUMMARY – To support and assist technologist in care of patients
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Escort patients from main waiting area to department for studies
Review and verify patient’s information for accuracy
Maintain confidentiality and comply with all HIPAA and Corporate Compliance regulations
Have patient change; if indicated for study
Daily computer skills
Monitor modality work list
Print and/or scan documents into patient accounts
Maintain the work area, stocked, orderly and clean
Release images to patients when necessary
Communicate information to radiologists, technologists, patients and referring physician office
Display a well-groomed professional image
Punctuality and regular attendance
Training in the use of High Level Disinfectant
Appropriate Phone etiquette
Calling offices to obtain additional scripts or clarification of orders
Keep patients and registration updated on delays
All other duties as assigned
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES – There are no supervisory responsibilities with this position
QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma or equivalent
Training and Experience
Prior experience in a medical setting preferred
Knowledge, Skills and Competencies
Detail oriented
Ability to multitask in a busy work environment
Good computer skills
Ability to communicate clearly with patients, their family members, co-workers, and referring physicians’ offices
Physical Demands of the Position – Position requires sitting, standing, walking, bending, pushing, pulling and reaching during scheduled shift. Assist patients on and off exam tables.
Working Conditions – Indoor office setting with daily patient contact. There is the potential of exposure to blood and other body fluids.
